Hi, I’m Christina
My approach to health and wellbeing is values-led, trauma-informed, and grounded in social justice — recognising that wellbeing is shaped not only by personal choices, but also by systems, relationships, and lived experiences. I work from a “what happened to you?” perspective, meeting folks where they are with compassion and curiosity. Considering the broader structures that impact individual health and wellbeing, Through the Trees offers a space rooted in the understanding that health and wellbeing are deeply personal and never isolated from the world around us.
Through the Trees Health & Wellbeing Coaching is collaborative and intentional. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on in your life, clarify what matters most, and break things down into manageable, sustainable shifts. That might include building a wellbeing toolkit, setting goals, making a plan (and adapting it), or reconnecting with practices like rest, movement, or body literacy (especially hormone literacy!) — always at your pace.
At its heart, this work is about empowerment. Whether you’re navigating stress, burnout, chronic illness, or life transitions, I aim to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and equipped with practical tools to move forward in ways that are intentional, sustainable, and aligned with your values while being bespoke to your reality.
How did I get here?
My shift into health and wellbeing coaching has been shaped by an intersection of personal and professional experiences. As someone experiencing chronic illness, I know how frustrating and isolating it can be to navigate health challenges — especially in systems that aren’t well-resourced to support nuance, uncertainty, or complexity. This has taught me a lot about pacing, boundaries, grace, and what it means to live meaningfully in an unpredictable body. I also know how tough it can be to see the forest through the trees — and how powerful it is to feel truly seen and supported along the way.
With a background in education, I’ve spent a decade working in schools, and my teaching practice is rooted in care, curiosity, relationship-building, and equity. My doctoral research in social justice education led me to explore how larger systems show up in classrooms — shedding light on how folks respond to constraints, where agency lives, and what it means to act in alignment with our values. These same principles shape my coaching practice, with the aim of creating spaces where folks feel seen, supported, and empowered in their health and wellbeing.
I’m also someone who finds nourishment in everyday rituals. I love cooking, baking, listening to music, and walking in nature. Before chronic illness, I enjoyed long distance running and hillwalking. While my relationship with movement has changed, I carry that same spirit of endurance, curiosity, and connection to my body into this season of life.
